Granted to the Scuola Normale Superiore for perpetual, free use, the complex, still undergoing restoration in many of its parts, now hosts NEST (National Enterprise for nanoScience and nanoTechnology) and the HPC center.

Headquarters of the Scuola Normale Superiore since 1846, it is one of the city’s most renowned historic buildings, granted to the SNS for perpetual, free use in 1934.

Located in the square of the same name, the palace previously housed the historic Pisan publishing house Nistri-Lischi. Purchased by the Scuola Normale in 1990, the severely deteriorated building was subsequently restored. Since January 2004, the Palazzo has hosted most of the central administration offices: Administrative Directorate, Student Division, Human Resources, Financial Resources, and General Organizational Secretariat.
