Palazzo del Castelletto
Description
Located in the square of the same name, the palace previously housed the historic Pisan publishing house Nistri-Lischi. Purchased by the Scuola Normale in 1990, the severely deteriorated building was subsequently restored. Since January 2004, the Palazzo has hosted most of the central administration offices: Administrative Directorate, Student Division, Human Resources, Financial Resources, and General Organizational Secretariat.
How to reach us
The Palazzo del Castelletto is located in Pisa’s historic city center, just a few minutes from Piazza dei Cavalieri, and is easily reached on foot or by bike, with direct pedestrian access from Via del Castelletto.
If you are coming by bus, the closest stops are Piazza dei Cavalieri and Santa Caterina; from there it is only a short walk. From Pisa Centrale or San Rossore railway stations, the building can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes (around 10 minutes by taxi).
If you are arriving by car, please note that the historic city center is subject to a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL). We recommend parking in nearby car parks (e.g. Piazza Santa Caterina, Piazza Carrara, Via Roma) and continuing on foot.
The Infrastructure and Information Systems Service offices are located on the ground floor: upon entering, turn left and ask the reception desk for directions. The Information Security Office is located on the first floor.
