Docusign

DocuSign is a platform for electronic document signing, also suitable for use with external and international partners. It allows users to sign and request signatures in a simple, traceable, and legally valid way.

It is especially useful for obtaining signatures from international partners or external users who do not have a qualified digital signature.

Requirements

  • DocuSign account provided by the Scuola Normale for internal users

Rates

The Scuola Normale has a limited number of signature credits available through its DocuSign license. The service is free of charge for authorized internal users, subject to availability.

FAQ

When you receive a document via DocuSign, you will get an email notification with a link to the document. By clicking the link, you will be redirected to a secure page where you can view the document and follow the instructions to sign it electronically. You do not need to create a DocuSign account to complete the signature.

To use DocuSign, simply access the platform using the credentials provided by the IT Services.

Once logged in, you can create a new envelope to upload the documents to be signed, add recipients, place signature fields, and start the signing workflow.

DocuSign is accessible via the web and does not require any software installation. All steps (sending, signing, approval) are carried out online, with automatic activity tracking.

Yes. Electronic signatures (both basic and advanced) applied through DocuSign are fully legally valid under the eIDAS Regulation (EU) No. 910/2014 and Italian law, provided they are used in accordance with the established procedures. For use cases that require a higher level of assurance, identification can be integrated with SPID, a qualified digital signature, or other recognized methods
