Do not configure a static IP address yourself.

Send the Help Desk the following information: site, network socket, device type, MAC address, person responsible, intended purpose, and services to be accessed.

For remote access, also specify the authorised users and the required protocol; the configuration will be assessed in accordance with network and security policies.
