VoIP Telephony

The University’s landline telephone network is based on VoIP.

VoIP (Voice over IP) is the technology that makes it possible to make a telephone call using an Internet connection or, more generally, any other network that uses the IP protocol without a connection.

The School’s VoIP server is called Kalliope.

FAQ

Check that the cable is securely connected and, if possible, try a different socket or device.

For Wi-Fi, turn the connection off and then back on.

If the issue affects more than one person or persists, contact the Help Desk and provide: site, room, socket or network used, time of the outage, and any error messages.
