Mobile telephony service

The University’s mobile telephony service provides staff with voice and data connectivity to support institutional activities, including off-site work, under the Mobile Telephony 9 agreement.

The service includes SIM cards and, where required, mobile devices configured with predefined plans.

Use of the service

Use of the service is governed by the Guidelines for the Assignment and Use of Telephone and Data Cards and Mobile Communication Devices, which we recommend reading in full. The following points are particularly important.

  • The Terminal recipient is required not to install unauthorized software and to protect the devices from unauthorized access, in order to safeguard the University's data and network.
  • The assignment of the Terminal is automatically terminated in the event of inactivity or termination of the relationship with the University. In such situations, the assignee is required to promptly return the cards and devices received.
  • The return will be considered valid only if it includes all assigned material, even if damaged, as well as packaging, power supplies and accessories, even if not working, with the exception of the earphones.
  • In the event of failure to return or incomplete returns, the Universityreserves the right to request the payment of penalties or additional costs incurred with the Service provider.

Unless otherwise specified, the configurations described below are available. All packages are automatically recharged (monthly packages on the first of the following month, daily packages the following day).

Personal use of the service

Employees may use their phone and data traffic for personal purposes through the DUAL SMART PA service, excluding terminals assigned for temporary needs.

Employees can subscribe to the service independently and digitally through a dedicated registration on the Vodafone website. This will allow them to access the pricing offered by the Administration and manage the service for personal use independently, with their own data and billing.

This service is guaranteed by prefixing the code "77" to the number called or the recipient of the SMS.
