How do I change group permissions?

Description

Topics:  Email, Mailing Lists, and Collaboration

You can use basic permissions to decide who can join the group and who can post and view topics.
Basic permissions are set as follows:

  1. Open Google Groups.
  2. Click My Groups > the name of the group you want to edit.
  3. Click Manage in the top-right corner.
  4. Click Permissions > Basic Permissions in the left menu.

At this point, a page appears where you can change permissions. Specifically, if you want to allow members outside your organization to access the group, you need to check the Allow new users not on sns.it box.

For more information on managing permissions, see the Group Membership and Group Permissions help page.
